Hi Eleanor,

I just ‘landed’ here on my own recommendation.

I was lost for a bit in your

Same Walk Different Shoes stories.

When I finally resurfaced, I grabbed a cup of hot maple ( Vermont dark maple syrup and milk ) and headed on over.

You are discussing the possibility of adding audio. I wanted to direct you to an author you may not have heard.

Of course we all get lost in the voice of Chloe Hope. Her soft cadence is part Rembrandt and part Monet all wrapped up in orchestral magic.

You may want to check out Jonathan Foster’s ; The Crow. Really wonderful.

And I’m sure you must be familiar with David Perry, a classic story teller.

Looking forward to reading more and listening.

And I’ve already ‘moved right in’ to Adam’s, quite pleased to be there.

Chloe's voice and delivery are the inspiration for doing my own. She's all you describe. Thanks for other recommendations. I'll seek them out. So glad you've joined me here!

Good luck! I've thought of adding audio, but the horror of hearing my own voice is unbearable... ;)

We shall find out! It was hearing Chloe's audio that made me think, "hang on a minute", her voice, her delivery, so beautiful, and then Ben mentioned it in his video, and what with Adam's encouragement to give the s-stories another run around the park, they seemed the obvious place to start ... 🤞🏼

Perfect, as if celestially-sent, pretext to start reading/listening as I (myself intend to) re-surface in a few weeks.

Omg yes this is a genius way of dealing with the edits that definitely have to happen with the audio version.

If the rework goes well here I may start tearing up my own track. (Thanks for the shoutout, too)

Terrific! I’ve been thinking, when I do share fiction, I may record audio as well. What tool are you using to record? I’ve used Substack’s recorder on my laptop for the Walden posts, but I don’t like the sound quality. Good luck with it!

I'm investing in a microphone so that I can record & edit more easily. Planning on uploading audio files rather than using Substack's recorder. Wish me luck. This is a whole new field...
