And you've been so generous all along. Thanks for that. It's meant a lot to me. I'm spoiled for choice, and if you're inspired to send a specific blurb too, I'll welcome that. x
Eleanor Anstruther's writing makes you see the world with a clearer vision, and lets you fall in love with life while showing how life breaks your heart. There are passages and sentences that'll resonate so deeply, they’ll take your breath away.
a) I'm nobody either, b) you're somebody to me. Your reading and commenting on my work has meant a great deal to me, so if you change your mind and and want to send something, I promise it'll be included. x
I will keep you posted. if you want to email me, I can fill you in on more detail. This is my first foray into s-p, so it's very much a case of trial and error, but this body of works feels like the right one to use as a test run, it having no chance at all of finding a publisher using trad routes.
65 Postcards was my absolute favourite thing to read over the summer, with its rollercoaster reveals and heartbreaking insights, and I wondered at times whether the author would actually survive. Eleanor followed this with the equally affecting Recovery Diaries, tales of joy and triumph alongside sadness and fear. All life is here, as they say, and then some. Wonderful.
You’re more than welcome, Eleanor, I love your writing. And please put me down for a print copy when they are ready, you might need more that you think! X
To read Eleanor's journey of recovery is to follow a brave soul with a bright lantern that illuminates even the darkest of places she's traveled. Her writing is not just luminous, but precise and direct in its rendering of memories both bitter and sweet.
Such direct and engaging writing. I always want to know what happens next. If there were pages to turn I’d be turning them! Putting the postcards and diaries in a book is a way to give the reader back that power.
Such a great idea and this is going to be a great book.
Eleanor, you're welcome to use any comments I've made in Notes about The Recovery Diaries. But I'll send you a blurb as well.

I've sent you an email with a possible text, to save you tracking down old comments
You're a star. Thanks.
Hi Jeffrey, would it be a massive bore to resend it? Nothing's turned up.... Did you use eleanoranstruther@substack.com ? Thanks
I've had another try, after some kind of email snafu affected the first attempt
Got it 🙌🏻
You can use anything you want from the post I shared on you last month! https://open.substack.com/pub/unfixed/p/eleanor-anstruthers-truth?r=3lmmp&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post
Oh that's super great, Kimberly. Spoiled for choice! Thanks very much. x

thank you Russell.
Check your email, my dear writer and virtual friend.
Eleanor writes into memory and emotion with the deftness of a conjurer. You don’t read her work so much as fall into it. 💚
Bloody brilliant Julie. Thanks so much 😊
♥️
How do we get access to read, review, blurbify?
Hi Dennis, you can find them here: https://eleanoranstruther.substack.com/s/65-postcards and here: https://eleanoranstruther.substack.com/s/the-recovery-diaries . Both are also in the stacks of The Library https://thelinklibrary.substack.com/p/nonfiction-titles , and you can send me a blurb using the email link I sent out to subscribers, or @ me on notes. Thanks in advance!
Awesome 😎
Thanks Michael x
You have blurb material from me, correct?
I sure do. x
I need this. I'm nobody so I won't give you a blurb but will keep singing your praises.

Excited to see the output! What print /self pub option did you end up with?
I’m going with Troubador for this one... seemed the best option given the genre + my total lack of experience....
I would love to know more about troubadour.

Deal! I will make sure one gets to you. ❤️
I'd be happy to. Hope this works:

That's beautiful, Ben, and much appreciated. It will be included. x
Recovery is progressive just like addiction. Eleanor keeps it moving in the right direction--now and forward!
Well said! And thank you. It shall be included.
