I'm struck over and over again by your use of run-ons, often in series that would make small paragraphs, how they help create a sense of interiority even when describing the exterior world, they're almost hallucinatory.
Beautifully written Eleanor. Plus its a reminder of a Winter I spent, long ago, around Marseilles & Cannes. Nowadays thinking of doing it again, looking for a ruin to rebuild as a sanctuary for creatives and environmentalists....... Peace Maurice
