For a while I did a practice of keeping a journal by the bed and as soon as I woke up writing a description of exactly what I saw around me. Usually I journal from the brain and this was an intriguing practice in noticing my world when I woke up ... and how much there was to notice even from the exact same spot in a room.
My mentor once said: if you have nothing to say then say that! I can see this room vividly. Beautifully written.
