A gorgeous important epilogue. Excited for the trilogy. And Ray. I had no idea the impact Greenham had. You’ve connected threads of history for me. It’s crazy how blind we are to ourselves. I marched to Take the Toys from the Boys (Reagan and Gorbachev) in NYC with Bread and Puppet Theater in the 80s…
I really liked the restrained way you ended the novel. A step towards acceptance in the form of buying biscuits. I'll miss my routine of reading it every weekend. Congratulations and thank you for another terrific book!
Thanks David! And yes, I wanted it to reflect how life is. No neat endings with everything tied up in a bow, just life carrying on with small steps in the right direction.
I appreciated that ending, too. And I’ve said several times before how much I loved the entire novel. Thank you, Eleanor. I’ll miss these beautiful, characters, and your lovely voice giving life to them.
Incidentally our little library in town has a copy of ‘A Perfect Explanation’ so, for a while at least, I get to continue to enjoy your wonderful writing.
This rounds up the novel beautifully. What these women achieved for our future. And then you look at the state of our world today and wonder how we got here when there’s a negligence towards protecting the peace and children. Wonderful writing and storytelling. Thank you. I hope it inspires more people!
Thank you Eleanor, for this wild and wonderful trip into a vital node of history. I will miss weekend mornings with these characters and your reading. May it be read and listened to far and wide! It’s the kind of book that should be part of school curricula, it’s an education in itself. Of Greenham and protest but also such good role models through change. I absolutely loved it, looking forward to listen a second round with my 15 year old daughter. Thanks again!
Thank you so much Julie, your words and comments throughout and now mean a great deal to me. If this book could achieve one thing, it would be to bring the story of Greenham into the mainstream school curriculum. It is, as you say, a vital part of our collective history.
Wow and super wow is all I got to say. Thanks. Berta
Thank you. Wish it luck in the big wide submission world...
fingers crossed

You’re very modest… thanks again.

Oh hooray! Hope you enjoy it. It was the novel on which I cut my teeth as a writer.
Endings are so delicate. I’m relieved it held & delivered.
Okay, now I want to go there when we’re in London in April. 😊 I’m so glad you brought us this story. May it go far and wide.

Love this idea! Studying this book in school would be brilliant.
