Your honesty and bravery, your risk taking. I salute you.....so much to own. Too much to own. I hear the golden shackles been shaken off, the door of the bejewelled cage creaking open and wings spreading, flying free.
I’ve been thinking about this and the answer is complex but it’s mostly the same one as why any religion, the story we tell ourselves, continues to exist. Despite its obvious nonsense it upholds something for enough people to make it worth their while. The class system in England has its roots so deep in our psyche that to pull it out is to disturb the entire network of our thinking. Yet pull it out we should.
It's like building a new rail network that takes 10 years and a lot of road closures and traffic jams. Trying to change a major system like the royals would be hard. Really hard. But once it's done, like the new rail network, everyone will be happy.
Absolutely. The so-called aristocracy and the monarchy try to normalise their existence via access to their castles (for a fee) and via idiotic shows like 'Downton Abbey'. But entrenched inequality and inherited privilege is what they are about.
As someone from a background that couldn't be more different, and simply as me, it's hard to imagine how sufficatingly trapped it must feel to live, unbelieving, within all that.
An accurate, intelligent and justifiable rant, disguised as a gentle persuasion. an excellent outreach that actually works. Love your style Eleanor. Peace, Maurice

Thanks Lisa ❤️
Why do these titles still exist, honestly?

Yes. This is the truth.

Yes, absolutely, it is. If anarchy were a scale I become more and more the anarchist with every breath.
Gosh! Begat and begat and begat. Most astute!
The cult always begins and ends with blood.

Never forget you are merely a member of the landed gentry
I have been waiting all day for you to say that. And it's ma'am to you.
