And little did I know, I would break my face again in 5 places and sever my jugular vein this time, just this past November. I didn't think it possible that it could all happen again to one person. And as I was arguing in text with my new surgeon about the plan to fix me, he offered two bits of frustrated wisdom: One, since the advent of COVID and AI, the technology for all surgery has advanced so much. "Be open." And two, "No two plane crashes are alike" and that's what this was. I had to look at it completely anew.
