This is heart-warming. I love all the messiness, it is real and honest.
I recognise the internal voice projected onto the imagined external, that says 'I'm not doing enough, I am not enough, everyone else is doing better or more than me'. Personally, I'm learning that taking a breath, releasing those often self imposed expectations, and accepting that our writing lives, like life itself, moves in cycles, sometimes productive in one way, then things change, we let go of something, move on to the next, sometimes cycle back to previous work, and that's all okay.
