You're very funny. I'm sitting in an airport departure lounge laughing. I've sent it on to Sophie Spencer who I know you also met at Bedales - I think you had dinner with her? She was very excited when I told her you were a guest on 8Q.
Loving the energy and joy in these answers … that bit about lots of drafts and deciding what to share and what is part of the writing process - excellent (note to self, I must stop showing folk the cleaning cupboard when they come for tea!). Loved these answers.
Love this interview, and Camilla puts it so well: 'a gal needs to buy pesto and be valued for what she puts out into the world. Art is art. Giving is still giving.'
I subscribed as I've pivoted from a career in finance to an immersion in writing and the Substack scene. I still use euphemisms like "immersion" or "vocation" but can't quite get myself to call it a career as I'm stuck on 'career=making money" but I'm getting there!
Hi Dave! Thanks for following and for your thoughts! I agree completely and it's something I have been questioning in myself and the classic Ikigai keeps coming up! But yes what we have to offer the world is very different to what we are usually taught. Happy to speak on this with you as I love a pivot! Good for you! 😄✨️🙌
Would love to chat at your convenience. I'm at robertsdavidn@gmail.com. On of my favorite things about Substack has been connecting with other writers.
Thanks so much for the interview! I really enjoyed writing about my substack and proccess :)

Interested in reading how others have pivoted.

"I will never find my groove—and that’s okay." 😂
