I love the community here on substack too, it’s been a beautiful surprise to find it, and to know that our ‘experience are everyone’s, even though the details differ’.
It really is so amazing to get to peek into the hearts and lives of other people (without the usual masks and projections of typical social media) and see yourself reflected in them. The proof that we are not alone in the places we felt most alone is such a magical thing.
I loved discovering Cici via that viral note. I write about similar things on my Substack (not as beautifully, of course) and I wish I had a photographic memory. Hers does read like a bestselling novel. I have to rely on the fact that I took notes and journaled often during the times I wrote about (and emailed myself). I am anonymising the people but not myself so I fully relate to how it is sometimes difficult to share — especially if your family read. Thanks, Eleanor, for another great interview. 🫶🏻
Thank you, Elaine!!! Your comment made me so happy to read. And you are smart to journal your life as it unfolds. It probably helps you process it way more than filing it away in the dusty library of *things that have happened*. It’s scary to tell the truth and share from your heart, but it’s also been the most healing experience of my life. The woman who started my substack in April is not the same woman writing this comment today. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
CiCi word’s are one of my favorite things of things of my human experience. She could write about nothing or everything and I would hang on every word.
Great interview. I'm so glad I found Cici here on Substack - both as a writer and a friend. The title of her newsletter caught my attention first, and then the writing and artwork drew me right in. I love reading her dreamy, poetic posts, and admire her openness.
Thank you so much for being the kind, strong, honest voice I hear when writing my posts (and also making certain personal choices). I couldn’t ask for a better substack bestie and real life friend. ❤️
Thank you so much, Eleanor, for the honor of sharing my behind the scenes on your page. Every once in a while I stumble upon a *pinch me* moment, and this was definitely one of them. I hope to connect in person when you next visit the states!!!
I'm a fan. Cici writes with an unusual degree of openness as well as fluidity. This interview is very faithful to her newsletter.
Thank you for your guidance, support and kindness, David. I am always grateful for you.

Thank you so much, Victoria!!! I’m so happy to be connected. I always smile when your name pops up in my notifications. ❤️❤️

I wouldn’t be here if not for you. Thank you for being the best friend who encouraged me, and who never gives up on me even when I want to.
