I agree, a great ending. Since much of this chapter is about Annabel and her inability to fit in, it's tempting to see her as represented by the pink bunny. She bounces around on the margin of things, a figure of fun for many.
Though I’m not sure what’s going on (I’m soon off to find the beginning!) I do know—can easily see—this is tremendous story telling. I am truly captivated. Thank you for creating this intriguing tale, and for choosing to share it with us.
Nobody does both/and as well as you, Eleanor. “We are all Greenham women” can be both true and false, and we readers are the richer for it.
