OMG, Eleanor, this is fantastic. How did I let a week go by before I read this installment? Even the pretensions have pretensions! Even the self-deceptions are deceptive. There are so many great lines, I can't begin to quote them. It's just like Chekhov said, if a knife appears in a sink full of soap.

I'm going to pour myself a dram before I read today's.

Well, between this installment and Ben’s latest on HH, you’ve both defined jaw-dropping! When Ros was just out with it, when Scott responded as he did. OMG. OMG. In judgement of others indeed. I’m seconding David. You’ve done such a brilliant job creating these characters that, jaw-dropping as their actions may be, they are totally believable. I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again. I simply love your writing.

"Six adults and a child, staring into the ruins of their realities" ... Pulling the threads together and bringing all to the fore: Kudos, Eleanor.

That was exciting! Actions are consistent but the "actors'" views of what's going on are warped by their perceptions. And the perceptions are totally believable based on the scaffolding of the characters' history that you created.

That is so good to hear, thanks for feeding that back to me. One never knows, we build and build and hope it's been enough... Again, once this is over, I'll talk about this chapter in broader terms.
